James B. Williams is President and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Group LLC and has over 35 years of information technology experience. Previously, Jim was the Founder and served as the CEO of Digital Connections Inc. (DCI). Under his leadership at DCI, he grew the company to 250 employees and over $32M in annual revenue. During his career, Jim was Listed as an Inc 500 Winner and listed as one of Top 150 VAR’s in the Network Technology Industry in USA. Locally his firm was a Future 50 Winner in the Nashville Business Journal. Jim served as a Member of Sprint’s Advisory Board and BellSouth Advisory Board for Agency Sales.
In addition, his firm was awarded the Governor of Tennessee’s Award for Merit in 2005. Prior to starting DCI, Jim worked at various communications companies, such as Nortel Networks, DCA and Racal Data Com as an Account Executive to Director of Carrier Sales.
Jim attended Volunteer State where he studied business and accounting, he also was awarded a golf scholarship and played on VSCC team for two years. He is a native of Hendersonville, Tennessee where he lives with wife Pam (formerly Pam Draper ) of 38 years they have two grown children, son James Clinton Williams and daughter Elizabeth Blake Williams. Blake and Clint have joined DGLLC and work in various roles in the company.
Kelly Head serves as Vice President of the Infrastructure Services Division for Digital Group. Kelly previously worked at Digital Connections Inc. (DCI) where he served at the Director of Infrastructure Services for the last 8 years where he directly supervised the Nashville, Knoxville and Birmingham operations while managing a staff of 40 that were responsible for over $5M in annual revenues. A successful business owner for 5 years, Kelly also held roles as a Regional Vice President of Systems Integration with Concepts in Communications in Nashville where he managed six offices in four states and a 283 person staff.
Kelly served in the Navy for 4 years and has earned several certifications various industry manufacturers and trade organizations and is a Bicsi designated Registered Communications Distribution Designer, (RCDD). Kelly currently resides in Clarksville, Tennessee with his wife Connie.
Raymond Panknin is the Chief Technology Officer at Digital Group. Raymond has worked in IT throughout his 33 year career. Recently he served as the Senior Project Manager for Community Health Systems in Brentwood, Tennessee. There he managed wireless installations for their 130 Hospitals and over 1300 individual clinics. Over the last 20 years he has held the positions as the Area Director of Systems Engineering for Racal Datacom and then Vice President of Technical Services for Digital Connections Inc.
As a graduate of Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, Illinois and a certified PMP by the Project Management Institute he brings valuable experience and training to our core products and services.
